The Adolescent Development and Participation Volunteer role supports UNICEF's mission to promote child rights in Mozambique, specifically focusing on adolescent development and participation. The volunteer will expand and strengthen Adolescent and Youth Participation Platforms (AYPPs) at the district level, linking them with other youth platforms. Key responsibilities include supporting media programming, mentoring programs, and youth consultations while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Experience in youth initiatives, Understanding of local context, Excellent oral and written skills, Drafting and formulation skills, Reporting skills (Portuguese required, English an asset), Interpersonal skills, Ability to work in a multicultural team, Computer literacy (MS Office), Familiarity with database management and/or coding (asset), Self-motivated, Ability to work with tight deadlines, Sound security awareness, Interest in children’s rights, volunteerism, and the UN System
National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan. The volunteer is responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
