This is a consultancy position for an Associate Geographic Information System (GIS) Officer within UNRWA in Syria. The role involves using GIS software for map creation, data analysis, and providing support for engineering works. The position requires a university degree, GIS training, and at least three years of relevant experience. The consultancy is for 6 months, renewable based on budget availability and performance.
GIS software proficiency, Data management, Cartographic skills, ArcGIS and/or QGIS, Spatial databases, Dashboard creation, GIS story maps, GPS data collection (asset), Remote sensing (asset), English and Arabic language proficiency
The duration of the consultancy is 6 months, renewable subject to budget availability and satisfactory performance
