This is a Community Outreach Team Member position in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves representing RiseBoro in the community and interacting with clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities include outreach activities, material development, and program promotion.
High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE/GED), Bilingual English/Spanish speaker, Critical thinking, sound judgment, 3 years' work experience and proven commitment to social services delivery, 1 year of experience working in a housing-related program, Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills, Knowledge of New York public benefits, subsidies, and other assistance programs, Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities, Demonstrated commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g., people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)
