The consultant will provide legal and governance advice to support the Executive Secretary and intergovernmental negotiation processes for the UNCCD. Responsibilities include providing legal advice on organizational and institutional issues, interpreting UN rules, negotiating legal instruments, and providing support for the Conference of the Parties (COP). The role involves legal research, drafting opinions, and participating in diplomatic conferences.
