The UN Volunteer National Specialist will support the Department for Policies to Control Deforestation (DPCD) and the Floresta+ Amazonia team. They will provide analytical and technical assistance related to economic instruments for deforestation control. Responsibilities include contributing to the Payments for Environmental Services (PES) pilot project, engaging in REDD+ agenda activities, and producing technical analyses on sustainable rural credit and climate finance.
