The Human Rights Officer will plan and coordinate human rights activities within the OHCHR, conducting substantive research and monitoring violations of international law. The role involves gathering and analyzing data on human rights trends, conducting interviews with victims and witnesses, and drafting comprehensive reports for policy-making bodies. The incumbent will also provide support to UN human rights mechanisms and ensure gender perspectives are integrated into humanitarian and economic programs.
