The Model United Nations Engagement Associate will work to increase engagement between the UNCCD and Model United Nations, focusing on linking MUN delegates to the UNCCD CoP17. The consultant will compile a global list of MUN organizers, establish a database of MUN delegates, and support the organization of MUNs focusing on desertification. They will also facilitate the participation of MUN delegates at CoP17 and prepare a detailed report with recommendations. This is a home-based consultancy position.
Youth engagement, International outreach, Partnership development, Stakeholder coordination, Model United Nations experience (delegate, organizer, advisor, or leadership), Partnership outreach and coordination with academic institutions or youth networks, Organizing international conferences, diplomatic simulations, or large-scale youth events, Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Consultants are not entitled to benefits provided to staff members and their conditions of service will be governed by their contract. They are responsible for determining tax liabilities.
