The Program Assistant, Africa Region, based in Botswana, provides operational and administrative support to Cultural Survival's Africa Regional Team. This full-time, remote role focuses on coordinating logistics, maintaining documentation, supporting community engagement, and assisting with advocacy efforts. The assistant will work under the supervision of the Regional Team Leader and in coordination with the Regional Coordinator.
Strong organizational skills, Attention to detail, Clear and respectful written and verbal communication skills in English, Proficiency in Setswana and/or Naro, Khoekhoegowab, Juǀʼhoansi, or other Indigenous languages is highly valued, Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and community-centered environment, Ability to follow established processes and complete tasks with reliability and accuracy, Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines under supervision, Commitment to culturally respectful engagement and confidentiality when handling sensitive information, Ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed team environment, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
