The Programme Officer will support the implementation of clean energy and energy-for-development priorities across multiple states in Nigeria, focusing on translating national energy strategies into state-level delivery. Responsibilities include planning, implementation support, monitoring, reporting, knowledge management, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement related to sustainable energy initiatives. The role involves working with government agencies, private sector actors, and development partners to advance Nigeria's energy transition goals.
Energy systems and technologies (e.g., renewable energy, energy efficiency, off-grid systems, electrification planning), Energy data analysis and modelling (Excel, Python, R, or specialized tools like HOMER, LEAP, SAM, or similar), Energy access metrics, cost-benefit analysis, and investment appraisal techniques, Climate finance mechanisms, blended finance, and project structuring for energy investments, Policy analysis or supporting the design of energy plans, regulatory frameworks, or energy strategies, Preparing technical reports, investment briefs, and stakeholder presentations, Stakeholder engagement, particularly with private sector actors, utilities, financial institutions, or local governments
