The Quality Learning Specialist will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of education projects in Sierra Leone, with a focus on improving the quality of learning. Responsibilities include coordinating literacy teaching and learning material development, supporting teacher capacity building, and developing digital learning resources. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, partners, and consultants, to ensure effective program implementation and positive outcomes for children. The UN Volunteer will be based in Freetown with periodic travel to districts.

The UN Volunteer will be based at UNICEF’s Sierra Leone Country Office in Freetown with periodic travel to districts. Travel costs incurred in the performance of official duties will be covered in accordance with UN standards. The UN Volunteer will be responsible for covering the costs of their own accommodation and other related living expenses while based in Freetown.
