Description

UNICEF is seeking a UN Volunteer Expert in Child Protection in Emergencies to support the implementation of protection strategies in Colombia, specifically focusing on conflict and disaster-affected zones. The role involves providing technical assistance to governmental and civil society partners, monitoring humanitarian projects, and analyzing protection risks related to gender-based violence and human mobility. The volunteer will also integrate into the UNV mandate, promoting volunteer action and mentoring new volunteers within the community. This position requires a strong commitment to child rights and deep field-level coordination experience.

Skills Required

Child protection in humanitarian action, Technical assistance to NGOs and government entities, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response, Children Affected by Armed Conflict (CAAC) expertise, Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE), Knowledge of Colombian protection systems, Inter-institutional coordination, Monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian projects
