Description

The position involves supporting the Peace Forest Initiative (PFI) by developing regional activity plans, preparing project proposals, and contributing to the implementation and reporting of PFI-related meetings and events. The consultant will work on projects addressing the links between land, peace, and security in fragile and conflict-affected situations, including supporting pilot projects and documenting their impact. Responsibilities include providing technical input, facilitating regional consultations, and contributing to the development of project documents for funding.

Skills Required

natural resource management, environmental policy, international development, sustainable land/water management, project management, research and publishing, English (fluency), knowledge of UNCCD, knowledge of UN and intergovernmental processes
